JR42989 General Ledger Accountant

This is a qualified accountant position for a fast-paced multinational environment. The role is expected to evolve rapidly through streamlining and automating of processes. As an Accountant, you will focus on US GAAP & local compliance accounting and reporting for Micron entities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Manage day-to-day accounting or operation activities
- Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries
- Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis and ad hoc reports
- Ensure compliances to accounting GAAPs, policies and SOX controls
- Support internal and external audit
- Provide guidance and training to internal customers and peers
- Communicate with business partners and finance analysts
- Support internal & external stakeholders
- Ad hoc task or project as assigned

Key Skill/Competencies
- Microsoft Excel skills
- SAP experience highly desirable
- Experience in Blackline and Ariba preferred
- Experience in data analysis & result oriented
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to act and operate independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work under strict deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Japanese or other foreign language skill set will be added advantage

Education & Experience
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Shared service experience preferred
- 2-5 years accounting or audit experience preferred
