**Key Responsibilities**

**Network Optimization and Performance**
- Monitor network performance for hardware and software and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and mínimal downtime.
- Recommend and lead network upgrades based on the School’s requirements.
- Configure, manage and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and structured cabling systems.
- Conduct regular network assessments and implement improvements as needed to enhance reliability and security.
- Configure and maintain system monitoring backups, ensuring business continuity.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including configurations, logs and files.

**Security Management**
- Develop, implement and maintain network and system security policies, procedures and protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
- Manage firewalls, antivirus systems and protection tools to ensure the School’s secure access.
- Evaluate and implement emerging networking and security technologies to enhance performance and security.
- Conduct periodic security audits and address findings with mitigation plans.
- Respond to security incidents and breaches.

**Support and Troubleshooting**
- Provide support for complex network and security related issues.
- Support the setup, relocation and installation of network equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with IT helpdesk and other departments to ensure issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
- Any ad hoc task as assigned from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in network administration.
- Sound understanding of structured cabling, routers, switches, network security protocols, firewalls and security tools (e.g. IDS/IPS, antivirus).
- Experience with risk management, vulnerability assessments and incident response.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to work with diverse teams.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: From RM4,000.00 per month
