**Job Overview**:
The Customs & Forwarding Manager is responsible for managing all import/export clearance in compliance with Malaysian regulations (Customs Act, MITI, MAQIS, SIRIM). Oversees documentation, leads customs and forwarding teams, controls clearance costs, and negotiates with vendors. Builds strong ties with authorities and partners, streamlines processes, and reports clearance performance to management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all import and export clearance activities in compliance with Malaysia's Customs Act, MITI, MAQIS, SIRIM, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of shipping and customs documents including K1/K2/K8, permits, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Lead and manage a team of custom officers and forwarding coordinators, providing training and performance evaluations to maintain operational excellence.
- Monitor and manage overall customs and forwarding costs, including duties, taxes, transport, and storage. Negotiate with vendors and agents to ensure competitive pricing and reduce avoidable charges such as demurrage, detention, and penalties.
- Maintain strong working relationships with customs officers, port authorities, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve clearance issues promptly.
- Implement SOPs to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance service reliability for customers.
- Provide regular updates and reports on clearance status, cost trends, and KPI performance to management.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, custom forwarding, or logistics experience.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs compliance.
- Experience in rate negotiations, cost management, and profitability analysis.
- Leadership experience with the ability to train and mentor a team, is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
