Regional Category Manager

WHAT'S THE ROLE?

As a Regional Category Manager, you will manage a specific sourcing category and develop sourcing strategy for each category as appropriate. You will be responsible for strategic sourcing projects to drive cost efficiencies and best business solutions. Together with your stakeholders, you will build long-term partnerships with suppliers and ensure agreed service levels are met.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
- With an entrepreneurial & strategic mindset, you will challenge the status quo, taking calculated risks to drive and develop innovation from within.
- You act as a change agent, bringing your stakeholders along the journey.
- You keep abreast with external relevant trends and stay agile to adapt as appropriate to bring value to the organization.
- You are responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within an assigned portfolio of indirect sourcing categories.
- You will lead sourcing projects, supplier negotiation, tactical purchasing, and establishing & maintenance of supplier relationships.
- You will ensure compliant source-to-contract process.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

- Bachelor's degree / Masters in procurement, supply chain, IT, business or finance
- 5+ years’ experience in procurement (strategic sourcing), supply chain, engineering, finance or project management in a multinational organization
- Strategic mind-set with result orientation
- Good stakeholders' management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Fluent in English
- Effective communication skills
- Proactive
- A strong business acumen and visionary mindset balanced by hands-on behavior
