Barista / Cafe Assistant

**Position Overview**:The Barista for the Café Kiosk plays a crucial role in providing high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items to customers while delivering excellent customer service. Operating independently from the cashier, the Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, ensuring the efficient operation of the kiosk, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Additionally, the Barista will be responsible for reporting their daily activities and performance to the management team.

**Responsibilities**:
**Beverage and Food Preparation**:Prepare and serve a range of coffee beverages, teas, smoothies, and other drink offerings according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Prepare and assemble food items, including sandwiches, pastries, and snacks, ensuring they meet quality and presentation standards.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines during food and beverage preparation.

**Customer Service**:Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Ensure prompt and accurate order delivery to enhance customer satisfaction.

**Operational Efficiency**:Independently manage the kiosk's operations, ensuring smooth workflow and mínimal downtime during peak hours.
Keep the kiosk organized and well-stocked with supplies, ingredients, and condiments.
Operate coffee machines, blenders, and other equipment efficiently and safely.

**Cleanliness and Hygiene**:Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including the preparation area, equipment, and utensils.
Regularly clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and customer seating areas.
Dispose of waste and follow proper waste disposal procedures.

**Cash Handling and Transactions**:Process customer payments accurately using the point-of-sale system, if required.
Collaborate with the cashier for any transactions involving payments and change.

**Reporting and Documentation**:Keep detailed records of daily sales, inventory levels, and any customer feedback or complaints.
Prepare daily reports summarizing sales, popular items, and operational issues, and submit them to the management team.
Communicate any maintenance or equipment issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.

**Team Collaboration**:Collaborate effectively with other staff members, such as the cashier and management, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Assist in training new team members on beverage and food preparation techniques, customer service standards, and kiosk operations.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
