We are looking for a Project Controller to be the co-pilot for Project Managers by providing transparency and regular updates on Capex Project spend, providing valuable insights and advise in managing and driving effective and efficient capex expenditure. Also, ensuring compliance to Nestlé Accounting Standards (NAS), Costing Standards of Manufacturing (CSM), relevant Company Standing Instructions (CSI) and other relevant laws, regulations and internal standards and guidelines.

**A day in the life of...**:

- Perform financial simulations/justifications, product costing & estimates, and CAPEX evaluations as required ensuring full transparency of costs Nestlé financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards whilst making sure strategic decision making in investment decisions.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly variances of project spend; analyze and investigate background and root cause, take actions as required.
- Ensure data accuracy with regular checks; follow up with stakeholders to ensure correction of errors.
- Discuss issues with operations department as necessary and provide support as necessary.
- Seek and support cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives.
- Participate on project teams to ensure validation, review and proposed savings are accurately tracked.
- Provide valuable input/insight to Project Manager on cost improvement opportunities for project budget.
- Provide guidance to optimize savings in terms of custom duty and sales tax exemption.
- Ensure competitive bidding is properly done and continuously challenge capex spend to ensure cost is optimized.
- Reporting and Analytics.
- Manage Internal Controls. Follow costing guidelines and associated standard operating procedures, Nestlé financial policies, Accounting Standards, internal and external compliance requirements, when generating financial documents and performing daily activities.

**What will make you successful**:

- Min 1-2 years of experience working in finance & accounting department or audit firm.
- Strong knowledge in budgetary controls and capex spend.
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Office.
- FICO SAP knowledge and experience.
- Exposure to taxation matters (custom duty and sales tax exemption) would be an advantage.
