***Department Overview**:New Product Sourcing
***Job Description**:

- Represent Procurement to participate in NPI program core team meeting providing professional support to ensure right parts from the right source are selected for the program to ensure best cost and supply assurance.
- Performs cost analysis and volume planning for NPI products
- Mitigates part lifecycle and supplies risk items and proposes solutions.
- Achieves goals and maintains a technical understanding of NPI products.
- Liaise with Engineering, Category Management and relevant teams to drive dual source and cost savings.
- Able to understand product cost models and structures,
- Influencing business and wider category stakeholders on procurement strategies.
- Ensure components supply assurance by maintaining the appropriate PML with the right industry manufacturing technology capability and business setup scale.
- To identify and drive projects which improve cost, quality and delivery to MSI; included but not limited to supplier base foot print expansion, research and development work on industry newly introduced materials and technologies.
- Collaborate with categories technical lead to establish design rules library, supplier capability metrics as guidance for designer in supplier and materials selection, and part design manufacturability, to cultivate cost conscious design approach.

***Basic Requirements**:

- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering or any related field.
- 5-7 years of working experience in the related field.
- Strong experience in managing complex projects, preferably sourcing/supplier related.
- Procurement and component sourcing experience is mandatory
- Technical/Product background is an advantage,
- Self-motivated, work independently, assertive, versatile and a team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
