Associate Director, Data Service Delivery

**What is the opportunity?**
I&TS Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographic time zones. The country employs a global operating model to maximise efficiencies across time zones and supports a 24/5 operations.

Data Service Delivery provides security masterfile, pricing and static data to RBC I&TS core business systems globally that covered on a 24/5 basis through a Follow The Sun model with a presence in Asia, Europe and North America.

As an Associate Director, you will act as functional lead from a Pricing Operation point of view (+18 FTEs located in Malaysia), day to day execution, accuracy and timeliness for all activity related to Pricing performed out from Malaysia for all ITS entities and act as local representative for Data Service Delivery APAC.

**Working hours: 9:00AM - 6:00PM**

**What will you do?**:

- Act as local leader /Director’s deputy for all Data Service Delivery activities performed out from Malaysia.
- Seeks to mitigate key risks and reduce E&Os within his/her team, in line with Global Client Operations targets and in collaboration with his/her peers in other locations (Luxembourg and Canada) as well as to improve operational efficiency and capacity.
- Acts as an ambassador and advocate of our business both internally and externally.
- Support and develop Management and technical competencies and create an environment which motivates and develops skills and retains highly rated individuals.
- Provides support and thought leadership as a member of the local Data Service Delivery Management Team to all aspects of the business but as well towards the global Management Team.
- Cultivate a cross functional and international mindset that puts client best interest ahead of individual and business agendas.
- Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals, driving performance, supporting career development and rewarding individual and team success including accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process, and keeping them focused on business priorities.
- Ensure employees understand and adopt our vision, as well as support and reinforce client focused behaviors that contribute to RBC ITS goals.
**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have**
- Post-secondary education with an accounting/finance or business concentration or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years in financial services industry (operations environment) or similar role/ function.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, initiatives and projects; always efficient and results oriented to drive and push forward in the right direction (First Time Right).
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across jurisdictional, functional and cultural boundaries.
- Exceptional people management and development credentials with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.

- Proven decision taker to lead in difficult situations, solve problems and implement superior solutions while demonstrating strong risk mitigation approach.
- A sense of urgency to achieve excellent results.
