**Job Summary**:
Manages performance management and compensation programs within a country and/or region and conducts market research into compensation and monitors trends in order to identify and address compensation issues in the business. Operates the country performance management and compensation strategy in the development and management of particular benefits programs. Serves, and guides, as the lead for compensation for assigned client groups, conducting market research, monitoring compensation trends and pro-actively identifying and addressing compensation issues in the business.

**Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities**:

- Conducts job evaluations for new positions to determine appropriate salary/grade.
- Evaluates and analyzes market data, and maintains appropriate documentation.
- Reviews requests for the evaluation of revised job descriptions and develops recommendations.
- Participates in compensation surveys including the evaluation and determination of appropriate benchmark matches, analyzes and reports results and maintains data in compensation management systems.
- Conducts research, evaluation and analyzes internal and external market data, analyzes market trends and makes recommendations for salary structure adjustments.
- Supports executive compensation programs; acts as liaison between Zurich Corporate Center and client groups for executive compensation matters.
- Conducts technical assessments of proposed benefit changes.
- Provides project management, coordination of HR resources and problem analysis for implementation of new or changed benefit programs.
- Supports appropriate documentation of established benefits policy, timely submission/distribution of all legal filings and required communications.
- Reviews communications for accuracy, compliance with plan rules and updated legislative requirements.

**Business Accountabilities**:

- Serves, and guides, as the lead for compensation for assigned client groups, conducting market research, monitoring compensation trends and pro-actively identifying and addressing compensation issues in the business to ensure alignment and help in developing the Total Rewards framework and strategy in the organization.
- Research primary data sources, select relevant information, analyze key themes and trends and make recommendations to inform policy for the Performance Management and Compensation area of expertise.
- Research Performance Management and Compensation Specialist best practice and review and analyze detailed business models to support senior management/ Human Resources Business Partners in developing and improving processes and systems.
- Provide advice to address specific technical queries and assist on local trainings and materials to ensure Performance Management and Compensation best practice across the organization.
- Execute and support Group strategies to meet business objectives at local level in the Performance Management and Compensation area of expertise.
- Prepare draft manuals based on the accepted changes to policies and procedures for the Performance Management and Compensation area of expertise, to ensure they are up-to-date and reflect the new policies.

**Performance Management Accountabilities**:

- Provide input into performance management discussions of project team members
- Educate team members and business partners on area of technical expertise.
- Provide guidance and support for team members.
- Take action to manage own personal development and encourage others to do the same.

**Education & Experience**:
Required
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources or 3 or more years of experience in related field.

Preferred
- Masters degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources or 4 or more years of experience in related field.

Additional Education / Experience
- Required : Broad HR experience, eg. payroll, HR Generalist, HR specialist, HR project manager.
