Recreation Executive

**Job Summary**:
The Recreation Executive is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all recreational, leisure, and fitness activities for hotel guests. This position ensures that guests enjoy a safe, engaging, and memorable experience while utilizing the hotel’s recreation facilities such as the swimming pool, gym, kids’ club, spa, and outdoor activity areas.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Guest Engagement & Service**
- Welcome and engage guests at all recreation areas, including the swimming pool, fitness centre, beach, and activity zones, ensuring a warm and personalized experience.
- Plan, promote, and coordinate a range of recreational programs such as water sports, yoga, fitness classes, cultural activities, and kids’ entertainment.
- Provide detailed information to guests about recreational facilities, activities, membership programs, and wellness offerings.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or service issues promptly and professionally, maintaining the brand’s service standards.
**Operations & Facility Management**
- Ensure all recreation and leisure areas are well-maintained, clean, and compliant with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Monitor swimming pool quality, gym equipment, and beach/poolside services on a daily basis.
- Support lifeguards, fitness trainers, and activity coordinators in executing operational standards.
- Oversee the inventory and requisition of equipment, towels, and activity materials as needed.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and F&B departments to ensure smooth operation of recreation areas.
**Safety & Compliance**
- Enforce health and safety rules within all recreation areas and ensure staff and guests adhere to them.
- Perform regular inspections and risk assessments of the recreation facilities.
- Maintain up-to-date certifications in CPR, First Aid, and water safety.
**Marketing & Event Support**
- Assist in the creation and promotion of recreation programs and seasonal events to drive guest participation.
- Support the Recreation Manager in implementing marketing initiatives, guest communications, and social media engagement related to leisure and wellness.
- Contribute creative ideas for enhancing the guest recreation experience.
**Administrative Duties**
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, guest participation, and equipment usage.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports for the Recreation Manager.
- Participate in staff briefings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Sports Management, Leisure & Recreation, or related field.
- Minimum **2-4 years of experience** in a similar role within a 5-star hotel or luxury resort environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong guest-focused approach.
- Certification in **First Aid, CPR, or Lifeguarding** is a plus.
- Energetic, well-groomed, and able to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Fluent in English (additional languages preferred).
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
