Safety & Health Officer

The Safety and Health officer reports to Senior Safety Manager and is responsible for coordinating day-to-day operation activities and ensuring jobs are completed in a safe and timely manner by providing planning, direction, and control of all field jobs.

**I.** **JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To implement and to ensure implementation of procedures compliance to industry standards and government safety regulations to continuously improve EHS Management System by coordinating/conducting regular internal audits, awareness briefing, training, and induction program for project sites.
- To inspect the place of work to determine whether any machineries, plants, equipment’s, substances, appliances or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work.
- To liaise and coordinate with regulatory bodies i.e., Department of Safety and Health (DOSH), Department of Environment (DOE), Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), BOMBA, etc.
- To investigate, analyse and maintain statistics on any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work.
- To assist the project team / Safety and Health Committee, pursuant to regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health program at the place of work.
- To be secretary to the Safety and Health Committee and perform all functions of a secretary as specified in that regulations.
- To assist the Safety and Health Committee in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken in compliance with the Act or any regulations made under the Act.
- To carrying out the respective duties under the Act or any regulations made under the Act.
- To customize and implement Kinetics EHS requirements to suit the site requirements.
- To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the Kinetics EHS Management System
- To undertake all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior when as required.

**II.** **QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or any related field with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in OSH related functions.
- Must possess Certificate in Safety Health Officer (SHO) from Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
- Registered as Safety & Health Officer with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) / Registered for yellow or green book.
- Knowledge of local health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Working hours: 08:00 - 17:48 (normal working hours)

Working days: Mon - Fri (normal working day)

One (1) day rest in every 7 days. Must not exceed 60 hours per week including Over Time.

Entitle for OT Rate 1.5 (Normal Working Day & Off Day
8hours & Public Holiday / Rest Day
8 hours office hours) - Basic salary RM4000.00 and below.

Entitle for Fix Overtime Rate, RM15/hour - Basic Salary above RM4000.00

Contribution of EPF, SOCSO & EIS. Annual Leave, Sick Leaves and Other Special Leaves under company.

Employee is protected under Group Hospitalization, Group Term Life, Group Personal Accidents & Business Travel Insurance (when required).

Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
