Project Director

Project Director Responsibilities:
1) Assist GM in formulating overall project management plan such as defining the
project scope, setting milestone and detailed work program, project change control
process, communication management plan, cost management plan, procurement
management plan, schedule management plan, quality management plan, risk
management plan and staff management plan.

2) Manage and coordinate the technical, construction, contractual and financial matters for the timely and efficient execution of projects from project initiation to completion within budget, on time and in accordance to established requirements.

3) Manage the project procurement and contractual framework and activities to
determine the best format of contract, checking tender documents, pre-qualification
of contractors, participating in tender clarification, evaluation, negotiation and award
of contract. Oversee post tender contract administration covering checking of
- measurement quantities and final account preparation upon completion of project.

4) Advise and recommend appropriate organizational structure to undertake the
implementation of project and participate in sourcing for right professional to fill the
agreed positions.

5) Responsible in monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure it is within the
approved budget. Managing change request to control cost overrun
6) Responsible for overall execution, administration, monitoring and control of the
project as per the contractual requirements, specifications & Project Quality Plan
(PQP).

7) Coordinate with Construction Manager for obtaining necessary resources for the
project and deploy as required.

8) Responsible for managing all interfaces with Client and Construction Manager
- Projects.

9) Responsible for coordinating for all the procurement and subcontracting activities
related to the project.

10) Deal with all contractual matters to the project.

11) Monitor the actual progress of the work against planned programme
12) Ensure Quality Management System of the Contractor is effectively implemented in the Project.

13) Obtain subcontractors Procedures / Plans / Method Statements, where applicable
and coordinate approval of the same.

14) Assess manpower, equipment and other resources required to achieve targets set.

15) Coordinate with the Procurement Unit in carrying out procurement activities for the project.

16) Liaise with Construction Manager to ensure timely completion of civil activities
pertaining to the project.

17) Liaise with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manager for preparation and updating PQP.

18) Analyse deviation or change of contract scope in coordination with Construction
Manager.

19) Analyse deviations, change of contract scope or delays, if required, and reschedule to meet target dates in coordination with the Construction Manager.

20) Ensure through the Construction Manager that appropriate actions are taken on all NCRs and Audit Non-Conformances raised in the Project.

21) Ensure through the QA/QC Engineer that all Corrective & Preventive Actions taken in the project are effective.

22) Identify training needs and coordinate with appropriate function for fulfilling the
training requirements.

23) Monitor & facilitating the implementation of HSE as per contract HSE plan.

Project Director Requirement:
1) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or any other
professional qualification recognized by Professional Engineering Board or
construction authority.

2) Have at least 20 to 30 years of experience in the construction industry (Building, road construction or Infrastructure Projects) leading management of mid to large sized projects.

3) Registered as Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.

4) Must be good in project management software (i.e., Microsoft project, primavera).

5) Able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.

6) Experience in mixed-development (e.g.: landed house, condominium, shophouse,
retail mall, office & etc) is an added advantage.

7) Strong leadership, communications, interpersonal, presentation skills and problem
- solving skills with the ability to direct client, consultant, and contractors.

8) Excellent writing and communication skills in English.

9) Have proper planning and organisational skills i.e., report writing and monitoring
project plans and schedules and utilising time and resources effectively.

10) Have experience with JKR or government project especially road construction &
infrastructure.

11) Good knowledge in JKR & local authority’s specifications, standards & requirement.

12) Must be aware of health and safety procedures and legislation to ensure a safe
construction site environment.

13) Must be willing to travel.

**Saturday** - 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

**Salary**: RM8,000.00 - RM15,000.0
