Why does this job exist and why is it critical? The position holds the responsibility to build a compelling Maxis IoT Solution product & proposition in Malaysian market. The role requires a versatile ability in defining marketing proposition as well as undertake product development responsibilities that will uniquely position Maxis in the IoT market through our differentiated offerings. In this position, the job holder will have expert knowledge of B2B Marketing, the Maxis IoT value proposition, the IoT architecture and platforms. This role is also responsible for GTM readiness for Smart Manufacturing products and solutions on channels, communication and market strategy. In addition, the job holder will act as the business solution advisor for establishing and delivering Smart Manufacturing solutions which contribute to Maxis Business sales targets, whilst delivering an unmatched personalised customer experience to leading companies in Malaysia. The Specialist is a high energy motivated person who is expected to collaborate with key stakeholders in Business, Technology, Support teams to help grow the business to become the leader of IoT in Malaysia. What are you accountable for?
- Development of new IoT Products by working with IoT Solution partners and internal teams across Business, Technology, Support teams to expand the IoT portfolio. Scope includes determining product specification, lifecycles, sales & on-boarding, in-life support, change management processes. Where bespoke solutions are required, match end-customer needs to available technical solutions, tailoring where necessary including end-to-end IoT Converged offerings by Maxis (Solutioning/Product Development)
- Continuous improvement of Smart Manufacturing product portfolio. Responsible for managing a viable product roadmap including Industry 4.0 offerings. Responsible to maintain a viable product plan with impact assessment on financial and operational risks for the future of the Maxis IoT Business. To strategically evolve the product delivery value chain to ensure proposition differentiation and sustainability. (Product Strategy)
- To drive key partnerships for Managed IoT Manufacturing product portfolio. To manage in-sourcing project, contracts, bids, issues and deliverables from partners to be able to deliver targets of IoT Business Revenues & Profitability. (Partnership Management)
- Responsible for end-to-end product proposition for IoT Manufacturing including business justification, product research & development, partnership/vendor management, sales & marketing strategy, customer experience, financial analysis, strategy, conduct training, reporting, and troubleshooting. (Product Management)
- Provide business and technical requirements for the various relevant Maxis platforms including the billing platforms working with the internal ISD (IT Solutions Development), network teams and the third-party solution providers. (Platform)

What do you need to have for this role?
- Bachelors Degree in a related field, specializing in Process & Automation, Continuous Improvement, IoT I4.0
- Minimum 5 years of working experience with at least 2 years in I4.0 Manufacturing
- Subject matter expertise & strong business and product management with IoT I4.0 understanding.
- Consulting background with advisory or market research firms are added advantage
- Good communication, negotiation, and product marketing skills
- Business Acumen
- Strong project management skills
