Product Development Executive

Take a lead role in product sourcing and generate product ideas that align with the company’s overall product strategy, focusing on AEDs, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety and first aid equipment and any other medical related products. Collaborate with local and international suppliers, primarily from China, on product sampling, improvement, and development to ensure quality, compliance, and market readiness. Responsible to manage supply chain related tasks, analyze the cost reduction activities and negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts. To negotiate for the best prices and payment term for every purchase while maintaining the highest level of quality, reliability and services. Ensure all the purchases in right source, quality, quantity, delivery and price. Identify and Address General Compliance Requirements Across products. This includes ensuring adherence to: - DOSH Requirements & Occupational Safety and Health Standards - Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA 1994). - Medical Device Authority (MDA) Compliance - Registration of medical devices under the Medical Device Act 2012 (Act 737). - Establishment licensing and conformity assessment as required by the MDA. - Import & Export Regulations Compliance with all permits and approvals required for cross-border distribution of medical devices. - Environmental & Disposal Regulations -Safe handling and proper disposal of expired or faulty medical devices. - GDPMD Certification (Malaysia) - Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices, mandatory for all licensed distributors in Malaysia. Analyze competitor products to identify market trends, industry innovations, and consumer preferences. Organize and conduct internal functionality and performance assessments for new products. Work with designers and photographers on product packaging, manuals, and photoshoots, submitting detailed reports for management approval. Refine and optimize product specifications, packaging, and user experience based on customer and market feedback, while ensuring that product labels, manuals, and packaging comply with Malaysian medical device and safety regulations, and also be in charge of related audits. Maintain effective communication and collaboration across departments including purchasing, design, marketing, and sales operations.Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings and any ad hoc task related to product development strategies. **Job Requirements** - Minimum 2-3 years of experience in medical devices, healthcare products, safety equipment, marketing, or any related industry. - Possess at least a Diploma / Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Product Development, Marketing, Business, or equivalent field. - Proficiency in English and Malay (written and verbal); proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage, especially for effective communication with suppliers and stakeholders in China. - Strong understanding of market trends, competitor landscape, and customer needs within the medical device and safety equipment sector. - Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., Malaysia: MDA & GDPMD requirements). - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-departments and international suppliers. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: RM3,300.00 - RM4,500.00 per month **Benefits**: - Additional leave - Free parking - Health insurance - Maternity leave - Opportunities for promotion - Professional development - Work from home Application Question(s): - Please state your expected salary. **Education**: - Diploma/Advanced Diploma (preferred) **Experience**: - Product Development: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person
