**Qualification**

Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Environmental Engineering

**Skills**
- Strong understanding of EQA Act and SWM Regulation.
- Strong understanding on Water Treatment Plant process.
- Must have the good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Able to work with all levels within the organization
- Computer literate to handle Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point
- Good and quick reporting of any issues in regards to Environment.
- Able to solve the IETS issue related to upset condition.
- Able to write procedures of operations for the process improvement and record keeping.
- Familiar with Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) and Scheduled Waste Management.
- Must be able to perform monitoring operations at sites in accordance with company rules and regulations.
- Familiar with compliances according to laws and regulations of government authorities such as DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, KKM and other related local authority.

**Responsibilities**

To assist management to develop and oversea controls system of environmental pollution

**1. Industrial Effluent Treatment System**
- To ensure the whole IETS process in normal operations and relevant monitoring are keep in records according to the fixed time frame.
- Ensure discharged effluent water quality parameters are always within the DOE standard.
- To monitor and maintain records of performance monitoring of effluent treated daily.
- To submit Online Environmental Monitoring (OER) of effluent discharged results monthly.
- To identify and facilitate process improvements project for IETS.
- To analyse IETS abnormality, liaise with the consultant and come out with effective immediate action taken and corrective action to be taken.
- Liaise with purchasing department on the chemical and other equipment and device to be purchase.
- Perform basic laboratory analysis for IETS and monitor the results.
- Ensure the water discharge to the public drain is comply with DOE requirement.
- Attend competency training as IETS competent person as per DOE requirements.
- To plan work task for the IETS Operators & Technician.
- To provide training to IETS Operators & Technician related to IETS performance monitoring, chemical preparation, preventive maintenance IETS components and etc.

**2. Scheduled Waste Management & Others Environmental Issues**
- To assist other department in managing schedule waste disposal process. To ensure all generated waste is labelled and disposed properly in compliance with the legal requirements.
- To provide training, briefing or circulate any information regarding waste management and other environment issue.
- To liase with DOE during their site visit and inspection.
- Keep record on Solid Waste disposal data.
- To conduct environmental weekly housekeeping audit and maintain Guided Self Regulation (GSR), 7 system.

**3. Scrubber System**
- To ensure scrubber operation system is well maintain and in good condition.
- To maintain daily records of scrubber performance monitoring.
- To attend any internal complaint due to scrubber issue.
- To liaise with operation and maintenance team on problem solving of any scrubber issue.
- To review daily scrubber performance record including lab test.

**4. Safety & Health Issue**
- Involve in regulatory & Compliance program such as ERT and others.
- To highlight any concern of safety and health issue for WTP operation and other environmental aspects.

**5. ISO 14001: 2015**
- To plan and monitor WTP operation and other environmental related aspects to comply with environmental legal and other requirements.
- To coordinate and provide related environmental awareness briefing to the related staffs and workers.
- To perform environmental related job task as per instruct by superior from time to time.
