**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Developing an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders.
- Delivering a weekly purchase order report to supervisors that indicates the invoice number for all closed orders (OTD Report).
- Working within the Supplier to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any backordered or missing products (OTD Report).
- Effectively communicating with the supplier to ensure all orders are accurate (Follow up).
- Research potential vendors and products to identify cost-effective solutions (Indirect item/Supplier).
- Ensure that the organization’s purchasing policies and procedures are followed (PR/PO).
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations (Supplier management).
- Track and analyze data to identify trends and recommend purchasing strategies (Long lead time item monitoring).
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings, quality, and delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and terms.

**Qualification / Knowledge / Skills Requirements**:

- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Bachelor of Degree or 3 years & above equivalent skill in procurement.
- Effective communication skills & negotiation skills.
- Industry relevant production experience.
- Available to start work immediately.

**Authority**:

- Authorized to source and procure raw materials, components (e.g., resins, molds, packaging), and production-related items.
- Able to negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with local and international suppliers.
- Can recommend or approve suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability (depending on company policy).
- May approve Purchase Orders (POs) within a set financial limit or escalate to higher authority.

**Working Condition**:

- Based in office, usually within the production plant or headquarters.
- Regular communication with production, planning, and warehouse teams.
- May require occasional visits to suppliers, customs, or logistic centers.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment due to JIT (Just-In-Time) production requirements.
- Expected to use ERP systems (e.g., SAP, SQL, Oracle) for procurement and inventory control.

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:

- On-Time Delivery (OTD) rate of purchased materials.
- Cost savings achieved through negotiation or supplier switch.
- Inventory turnover rate and stock optimization.
- Supplier performance (lead time, quality compliance, delivery accuracy).
- Accuracy and timeliness of Purchase Order issuance.
- Reduction in purchase price variance (PPV).
- Responsiveness to urgent or unplanned purchase requests.

Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
