Import & Export Assistant

Job Description:
- Prepare and process all required documentation for the import and export of goods, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other customs documents.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Maintain and organize records of transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
- Ensure all shipments meet the required import/export compliance standards, including product classification, valuation, and country-of-origin requirements.
- Liaise with customs brokers, government agencies, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to customs clearance.
- Monitor changes in international trade regulations and update processes to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor shipment schedules, track international shipments, and resolve any transportation issues or delays.
- Prepare and verify shipment invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in import/export operations, logistics, or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade laws, and international shipping practices.
- Familiarity with international tariffs, duty regulations, and classification of goods.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with suppliers, carriers, and government officials.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
