**Job Summary**:
The IT Governance Executive is responsible for ensuring that IT practices within the organization align with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role supports the implementation and monitoring of IT governance frameworks, policies, and controls to manage risks, ensure compliance, and support efficient IT operations in the insurance domain.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Governance Framework & Policy Management**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with internal IT policies, regulatory frameworks (e.g. BNM, ISO 27001), and industry standards (e.g. COBIT, ITIL).
- Coordinate policy reviews and updates in line with changes in regulations or business needs.
- **Risk Management & Compliance**:

- Assist in IT risk assessments, identifying risks related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT operations.
- Track risk mitigation plans and ensure timely resolution.
- Support IT audits (internal/external) and regulatory inspections by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- **Performance & Control Monitoring**:

- Monitor IT KPIs and control effectiveness across IT functions.
- Prepare regular reports on IT compliance, risk status, and governance performance for senior management.
- **Regulatory and Industry Compliance**:

- Ensure IT compliance with regulatory requirements such as Bank Negara Malaysia’s RMiT, GPIS, and related IT circulars.
- Stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations impacting IT in the insurance sector.
- **Project Governance**:

- Support governance oversight for IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, budgets, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in change advisory boards (CAB) and IT steering committees as needed.
- **Awareness & Training**:

- Assist in developing and conducting training programs related to IT governance, compliance, and risk awareness.
- Promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness across IT and business units.

**Requirements**:
**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in IT governance, IT risk, or compliance within financial services or insurance.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as BNM RMiT, ISO 27001, or MAS TRM (if regional exposure).

**Technical & Professional Skills**:

- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL).
- Understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory technology (RegTech).
- Knowledge of project governance, IT audit, and control frameworks.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.

**Soft Skills**:

- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,842.99 - RM7,406.58 per month
