Elv & Audio-visual Business Development Director

A Business Development Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving a company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence. This position involves developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue targets while fostering long-term client relationships. The director collaborates with cross-functional teams to align growth initiatives with overall business objectives, negotiates high-value deals, and analyses market trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Planning**:Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- **Market Research & Analysis**:Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes; analyze data to determine market potential and opportunities for growth.
- **New Business Development**:Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, products, and services; lead the development of proposals, pitches, and presentations to secure new business deals.
- **Client & Partner Relationship Management**:Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders; identify potential strategic partnerships and negotiate agreements.
- **Financial Analysis**:Analyze financial data and evaluate the ROI of potential business opportunities; prepare financial forecasts and budgets related to business development initiatives.
- **Team Leadership**:Build and manage a high-performing business development team; provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and results to the executive team; maintain accurate records of partnerships, contracts, and agreements.
- **Compliance & Risk Management**:Ensure that all business development activities comply with relevant laws and regulations; assess and mitigate risks associated with business development initiatives.
- **Networking**:Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and build industry relationships; represent the company in a professional and positive manner.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- **Education**:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is often preferred.
- **Experience**:8-10years of business development experience in a B2B environment; proven track record of driving revenue growth through new business development.
- **Strategic Thinking**:Ability to think strategically, anticipate market trends, and develop comprehensive sales and marketing plans.
- **Communication Skills**:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
- **Analytical Skills**:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- **Technical Proficiency**:Expertise in CRM systems, sales automation tools, and reporting tools to facilitate sales analysis and reporting.
