**Position Overview**

Wira Clinic Bintulu is seeking a passionate and committed **Medical Assistant** to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role is essential in supporting doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care, ensure smooth clinic operations, and provide an excellent patient experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist doctors and nurses during consultations, examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Record patient vital signs and prepare patients for medical examinations.
- Administer injections, wound dressings, and basic clinical procedures under supervision.
- Support vaccination, immunization programs, and routine health screenings.
- Provide immediate support during emergencies, including first aid and basic life support.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, hygiene, and safety protocols.
- Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, handling inquiries professionally.
- Educate patients on health awareness, wound care, medication adherence, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, scheduling, and clinic administration.
- Assist with point-of-care tests (urine dipstick, glucose, rapid test kits) and occupational health services (medical check-ups, audiometry, vision screening, drug/alcohol testing).
- Support smooth daily operations and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Participate in training, professional development, and CME sessions.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Medical Assistant or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Malaysian Medical Assistant Board.
- Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Experience in clinical procedures and emergency response is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Friendly, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Advantage for those with certification or experience in performing circumcision procedures.
