**Position Overview**:We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Purchasing Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management. As a Purchasing Intern, you will play an essential role in supporting our purchasing department by assisting in sourcing, procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to learn about purchasing practices and contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in identifying potential suppliers and sourcing materials, products, and services.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to prepare purchase orders and track order status.
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Learn and utilize procurement software and tools to manage purchase orders and supplier information.
- Support supplier evaluation and performance tracking, ensuring timely and quality deliveries.
- Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting in order replenishment.
- Assist in analyzing and comparing supplier offers, terms, and lead times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on purchasing needs.
- Help maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Learn about supply chain processes and best practices under the guidance of experienced procurement professionals.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field).
- Strong interest in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of procurement concepts and processes (experience is a plus but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
