PPG is looking for a Maintenance Intern to join our team at Petaling Jaya Plant. This internship program may range from 4 to 12 months depending on different Universities' requirements and will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. **Main Responsibility** - Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes. - Help implement and monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics to evaluate equipment performance and identify areas for improvement. - Support the maintenance team in implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. - Help troubleshoot and maintain Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems and other automated equipment. - Help update maintenance logs, documentation, and reports. - Help manage spare parts and inventory for maintenance activities. - Conduct analysis to identify potential areas for improvement in maintenance processes, including the implementation of new technologies. - Follow safety protocols and contribute to the development of a safe working environment. **Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Basic understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and principles. - Familiarity with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) concepts and measurement. - Knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems and their maintenance. **About us**: **PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD** **The PPG Way** Every day at PPG: **We partner with customers to create mutual value.** **We are "One PPG" to the world.** **We trust our people every day, in every way.** **We make it happen.** **We run it like we manage it.** **We do better today than yesterday - everyday.** Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.
