You will report to the Material Planning Manager - SEA and will work on-site at Petaling Jaya Plant. #LI-Onsite **Responsibilities** - To assist Supply Planning / Material Planning Manager, in directing the implementation of overall material management activities (buying and maintaining delivery schedule from supplier) and supporting on any improvement. - To produce relevant reports and analysis to oversee the forward purchase plans by analyzing the items and amount to be spent. Collaborate with demand and production planner on the material usage requirement and participate in the SIOP process eg., material risk and shortage assessment. - Work with Regional Supply Chain team and collaborate in overall Supply Chan activities - Act as a primary interface with complex suppliers with by providing effective coordination & solutions internally and externally - Maintain ideal inventory levels to ensure capital cost is within the optimum level and avoid or reduce Slow Moving and Obsolete Stocks - Contribute intensive knowledge of supplier management and ensure suppliers able to comply with PPG standards. eg., Shelf life, FIFO and others. - Degree in Business Studies or equivalent. - Minimum 4 - 5 years’ experience in Chemical Industry and experience in procurement & material planning - Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and problem-solving skills in the dynamic environment. - Strong analytical skills, organized, meticulous with strong eye for business focus. - Able to remain focused and work efficiently under pressure while handling multiple tasks and work independently. - Positive & right attitude, strong sense of urgency to resolve issues. - Solid background in MRP and master data (e.g., material, lead time, standard packing, safety stocks are well maintained. **Benefit** - Attractive compensation package - Comprehensive benefit, supportive and inclusive workplace community - Strategic office location. **About us**: **PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD** **The PPG Way** Every single day at PPG: **We partner with customers to create mutual value.** **We are "One PPG" to the world.** **We trust our people every day, in every way.** **We make it happen.** **We run it like we own it.** **We do better today than yesterday - everyday.** Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.
