We are looking for a dynamic team member to deliver business and legal compliance services to our wide array of clients. These are mostly European companies with subsidiaries, LLPs, or branch offices in Malaysia. You will be based in the KL office and correspond with clients and team members on a daily basis, delivering excellent advice and service on compliance matters.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in advising, reviewing and negotiating various legal issues (i.e corporate and commercial law matters, contract law and agreements, labour and employment matters and policies, data privacy laws and trade control).
- Assist in drafting, editing, and reviewing various legal documents, opinions, articles, agreements and forms (i.e services agreements, NDA, terms of sales and purchase) as well as various policies and procedures.
- Research and monitor relevant laws and regulations, precedents, and policies to assist the company and the clients to ensure compliance with applicable laws for operations and technical matters.
- To ensure submission or renewal of any documents (i.e licenses, visas, etc) are performed on time.
- Managing records, filing, projects and calendars to make sure everything functions smoothly and supporting the team i.e. running office errands, scheduling meetings, stamping, collecting and delivering documents, managing diaries, etc.
- To assist with work permit/visa coverage for expatriates to work in Malaysia.
- Act as the point of contact, support and liaising with external parties (i.e Company Secretary, external lawyers, vendors, experts, government agencies and legal counsel, etc) to ensure deliverables to the client.
- To carry out any other matters as assigned by the Head of Legal & Compliance/Management.

**You are the right person for the job if you meet the below requirements**:

- Preferably minimum of 1 year of legal working experience in firm/ in-house
- Willing to attend networking events on behalf of the company
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Must be willing to undertake legal research and learn new skills
- Must be able to handle pressure well and understand the importance of deadlines.
- Good legal drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills as well as analytical and problem-solving skills - able to solve problems and adapt quickly
- Ability to perform tasks independently and a good team player
- High professional integrity, proactive, and committed

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
