Brand Manager

The **Brand Manager** will be responsible for driving the overall strategy, growth and profitability of our flagship brands (rice, snacks, beverages and health-oriented products). This role requires strong expertise in brand building, consumer insights, marketing execution and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the brand remain the leading healthy rice brand in Malaysia and expands successfully across Southeast Asia.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Brand Strategy & Planning**
- Develop and execute annual and long-term brand plans aligned with brand’s growth targets.
- Strengthen brand’s positioning as a healthy lifestyle brand through consistent messaging and campaigns.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine strategies.
- Manage brand portfolio innovation strategy, including new product development (NPD) and packaging upgrades.
**Marketing & Communication**
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns (ATL, BTL, digital) to increase brand awareness and preference.
- Oversee brand storytelling across consumer touchpoints (engagement, retail, social media, partnerships).
- Develop brand content, key visuals and trade collaterals in line with brand’s identity.
- Ensure brand guidelines are upheld across all communication channels.
**Trade & Channel Activation**
- Work closely with the Trade Marketing team to design shopper-focused activations in General Trade, Modern Trade, Convenience/Q-commerce, and Export.
- Monitor in-store visibility, promotions and planogram compliance.
- Collaborate with Sales to create compelling retailer propositions that drive sales-in and sales-out.
**Innovation & Product Development**
- Partner with R&D to identify consumer trends (health, wellness, convenience) and launch relevant products.
- Define pricing strategy, pack formats and product lifecycle management.
- Lead consumer testing, packaging design and go-to-market strategies for new SKUs.
**Performance Management**
- Track brand performance (market share, penetration, sales growth, ROI).
- Manage marketing budget effectively to deliver maximum impact.
- Provide regular performance reviews and insights to management.
**Cross-Functional Leadership**
- Collaborate with Sales, Trade Marketing and R&D to deliver end-to-end execution.
- Manage external agencies (creative, digital, media) and strategic partners (e.g., ambassador, IP collaboration etc).
**What we're looking for**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- **5-7 years of brand management experience in FMCG (preferably food & beverage).**:
- **Applicants with a background in food FMCG will be prioritized.**:
- Strong track record in launching products, managing campaigns and growing brand equity.
- Excellent analytical, creative, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with consumer insights tools (Nielsen, Kantar, Euromonitor) and digital marketing platforms.
- Passionate about health, wellness, and lifestyle branding.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
