**Food Preparation and Cooking**: The primary duty involves preparing and cooking meals according to precise recipes. These recipes are specifically designed to deliver high-quality nutrition that aids patients’ recovery during their stay at the hospital.
- **Proper Food Handling and Presentation**: You are responsible for ensuring that all food items are handled in a safe and sanitary manner. Additionally, you maintain a high standard of food presentation to ensure meals are visually appealing and appetizing to patients.
- **Portion Control and Temperature Maintenance**: You carefully manage portion sizes to meet patients’ dietary needs and ensure consistency. Also, you monitor and maintain appropriate serving temperatures for the prepared meals to ensure food safety and quality.
- **Peak Production and Service**: During busy periods, you are capable of handling high production and service volumes efficiently, ensuring that all meals are prepared and delivered promptly without compromising on quality.
- **Lead Person in Production Area**: You take on a leadership role in the production area, coordinating tasks and ensuring smooth operations. This might involve delegating responsibilities and overseeing the overall food production process.
- **Patient Diet Knowledge**: You possess a comprehensive understanding of different patient diets, including dietary restrictions, allergens, and special considerations. This knowledge is essential to create meals that align with patients’ medical requirements.
- **Coaching and Direction**: As assigned, you provide guidance and coaching to food services and production staff, ensuring that they adhere to proper cooking techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
**- Efficient Pax Patient Management**: You are mindful of patient numbers to avoid wastage. This means you ensure that the quantity of food prepared aligns with the expected number of patients, minimizing excess cooking that could lead to food wastage.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma in culinary or related field
- At least with 3 years working experience
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Melayu and English.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
