Job Description: Housekeeping Staff
Position Overview:
As a member of the housekeeping team, your role is critical in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for guests. You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hotel are well-maintained, reflecting high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
**Room Cleaning**:
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities to ensure a welcoming and comfortable guest experience.
- Ensure that rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, paying attention to detail.
**Public Area Maintenance**:
- Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust public spaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Monitor and replenish supplies in public areas as needed.
**Laundry Management**:
- Collect and process guest laundry in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Operate laundry equipment and ensure proper handling of linens and garments.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and toiletries.
**Collaboration with Other Departments**:
- Coordinate with the front desk to prioritize room cleaning based on guest arrivals and departures.
- Communicate with maintenance and other departments to address any issues related to cleanliness and maintenance.
**Quality Assurance**:
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly to the appropriate department.
**Guest Interaction**:
- Respond to guest requests for additional services promptly and in a courteous manner.
- Uphold a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with guests.
**Compliance with Safety and Hygiene Standards**:
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
**Team Collaboration**:
- Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
