Manager - Growth Markets Fund, Investment

**The Growth Markets Fund (GMF) Investment Team**

Joining the GMF investment team, you will contribute to the development, structuring and execution of investments in greenfield renewable energy infrastructure projects in the fast-growing economies across Asia and Latin America as well as certain countries in Eastern Europe and Africa where Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners see scale, growth, and liquidity. You will work closely together with a highly experienced team in a high-pace dynamic and truly global environment.

**The Position**

Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will as part of the investment team contribute to project and deal origination, and will be assigned to specific investment opportunities being pursued by GMF in Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:

- Manage investment due diligence, project development & financing, and divestment process work-streams with a high degree of independence
- Help drive the negotiation of agreements and contracts (partnership agreements, project agreements, financing agreements, etc)
- Closely oversee and be responsible for the development and management of financial models, review the economic and financial assumptions, ensuring that the commercial and structural details of the transaction is reflected in the financial model
- Perform research in relation to counterparties, markets, projects and assets
- Work with and manage external advisors and partners, including legal, financial, and technical, to execute investments
- Develop investment analysis and produce high-quality presentations to secure investment mandates from internal decision makers; prepare similarly high-quality presentations and documentation for external stakeholders
- Mentor analysts and associates, and take responsibility for the quality of their deliverables

The work is project-driven and will involve all aspects of the infrastructure investment process including sourcing and acquisition, financing, and exits.

The work environment at CIP is fast paced, stimulating, global and demanding. We are therefore looking for a self-driven, collaborative, and analytical professional holding a relevant master’s degree within Economics, Finance, Business, or other related fields and 6-8 years of work experience in a similar position in an international organization or a leading relevant company in Southeast Asia.
- A team player with the confidence to exercise judgement appropriately, engaging with colleagues at all levels of seniority
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and very strong attention to detail
- Solid corporate finance knowledge, particularly in terms of mastering valuation and financial modelling
- A commercial mindset, able to own investment decision making and understand the impact on potential investments
- Ability to professionally manage junior resources as well as external advisors
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to work well under pressure and take on responsibility and ownership
- Substantial experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with power (preferred), energy in the wider sense, or infrastructure projects
- A self-starter attitude with tenacity, initiative and a willingness to commit to deliver the required results
- Proficiency in at least one language spoken in Southeast Asia
