HB Ventures is a venture capital firm that invests in Deep Tech and Web3 opportunities in Asia Pacific and other regions.  Our Deep Tech funds focus on early growth to Pre-IPO stage companies while our Web3 funds, in collaboration with our strategic partner Web3Labs, focus on earlier stage opportunities as well as Fund of Fund investments.  We also provide AI Cloud services as well as Incubation programs to our Web3 related portfolio companies.

We are seeking Investment Associate/ Investment Manager experience in Venture Capital or Corporate Finance. The ideal candidate will possess strong deal experience, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities across Asia and other regions.

Responsibilities
As an investment Associate/ Investment Manager at HB Ventures, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and technology landscape mapping

  • Support the full investment process — from deal sourcing and due diligence to financial modeling and valuation.

  • Assist in monitoring portfolio performance, identifying risks and growth opportunities, and supporting value creation initiatives.

  • Contribute to internal investment memos, deal structuring and investment committee materials preparation, thought leadership, and trend analysis.

  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

  • Stay up to date with global innovation trends in various technology sectors

  • Maintain and update internal databases, research files, and CRM systems.

  • Support regulatory and compliance documentation as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.

  • 3–8 years of experience in venture capital, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or tech startup.

  • Solid analytical and research skills, with basic proficiency in financial modeling and valuation.

  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, including AI, blockchain, and Web3.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is required.
