**Job Overview**:
The Associate Survey Specialist utilizes existing Survey procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Survey (Mar) and Marine.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct land/marine surveys and inspections by industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to aid with the planning and execution of land/marine surveys and data acquisition activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion
- Utilize various survey equipment, software, and technologies to collect and analyze marine data, including positioning, bathymetric surveys, and awareness of sub-bottom profiling and side-scan sonar imaging
- Assist in the preparation of accurate survey reports, charts, and maps, highlighting findings, recommendations, and potential risks
- Support the identification and evaluation of potential marine hazards, such as underwater obstacles, geological formations, and uncharted navigational hazards
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and accuracy
- Monitor and assess environmental impacts caused by marine construction activities, recommending appropriate mitigation measures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during survey operations
- To be based at worksite based on project requirements, onshore and/or offshore

**Essential Qualifications & Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Land /Hydrography Survey, Marine Sciences, Geomatics, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in land and/or marine surveying within the EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) industry
- Exposure to Cartography and Geodesy
- Awareness of Dimension Control surveys, Engineering surveys, and basic Photogrammetry
- Exposed and familiar with survey equipment such as GPS, multibeam and single-beam echo sounders, navigation systems, survey adjustment software, and GIS
- Awareness of geophysical surveys, survey sensors, sonar imaging, sub-bottom profilers, and magnetometers
- Demonstrated experience in conducting land and hydrographic surveys, including knowledge of tide predictions and the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) standards
- Familiarity with industry-approved survey data software such as QINSY, CARIS, HYPACK, or EIVA Navi Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret survey data and provide accurate recommendations
- Understanding of basic offshore construction operations and associated safety practices
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information concisely and to different stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
