**Job Description:

- **
- Attention to Detail: QC have a keen eye for detail to identify any defects or imperfections in home furniture.
- Product Knowledge: A solid understanding of different types of home furniture, materials, and production processes is essential.
- Quality Standards: Knowledge of industry quality standards and the ability to ensure products meet or exceed these standards.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Joint Inspection and classification of furniture & verification of defective items that are brought down due to non-delivery from transporters both home delivery and line haul
- Conduct joint inspection of furniture damaged item in warehouse & items return from stores to classify the damage.
- Take or advise 3PL of next action required.
- Liaise with suppliers on parts / repairs required and obtain quotations before approving the job / part.
- Send the quotations to Supply Chain Administration to raise Purchase Orders
- Verify the part replacement when received from supplier to release the quarantine item to good stock.
- Check the original Delivery Order for part received from receiving team & sort out the Delivery Order with Purchase Order to send to Support Centre.
- Check quarantine items & liaise on outstanding case with 3PL team to ensure each item is being actioned
- Liaise and correspond with Customer Service Case Team on customers’ furniture complaints & advise further action & provide the solution to resolve customer issues.
- Check ETA date & follow up for part to be supplied in the shortest possible time
- Check Service Tracking report & liaise with 3PL Service Team on outstanding cases
- Weekly update to manager and 3PL on the status and remarks for instruction on further action required
- Communicate with supplier & 3PL to collect items from warehouse to send back to factory for repair
- Escalating & communicate with Courts Merchandising team on cases without response from supplier or cases having difficulty with suppliers.
- Inspect item before they are returned to store after repair to verify whether in saleable condition before sending to Stores. To notify & follow up with respective Stores.
- Accompany 3PL Cycle Count team for verification of correctness of cycle count.
- Inspect Warehouse stock if there are recurring complaints of one product e.g. the furniture is unsafe or cannot assemble due to manufacturer defect and recommend resolution
- Action on Store requests to replace the damaged parts at their stores
- Verify and follow up with stores on faulty furniture stock / display sets at stores
- Recommend write off on products that cannot be repaired
- Physical Stamina: Some QC tasks may require lifting and moving furniture, so physical stamina can be important

**Job Requirement:

- **
- Minimum SPM
- 2 to 3 years experience in Furniture QC
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently
