**The Opportunity**

Joining the expanding AS White business presents an exciting opportunity As the Junior Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Accountant across a spectrum of accounting tasks, acquiring valuable experience in financial operations within the Philippines.

This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at aiding the daily financial operations of the company, providing hands-on experience in diverse accounting functions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Data entry and recording of daily journal entries in the company’s accounting system, including posting of monthly accruals, payroll, depreciation, and other recurring entries in accordance with GAAP
- Maintenance of General Ledger, Books of Accounts and Fixed Asset register including computation of monthly lapsing report
- Involvement in monthly and year-end closing activities
- Review of Request for Payments being submitted to Finance
- Handle employee advances, liquidations, and reimbursements
- Act as back-up AP processor
- Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly/annual tax returns on compensation, expanded, VAT, and Income Tax (1601-C, 1601-E, 2550M, 2550Q, 1702)
- Submission of other BIR monthly and year-end reporting requirements such as Summary List of Sales and Purchases, Tax Annualization, Registration of books, etc.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports required by PEZA, SEC, SSS, PHILHEALTH, HDMF, and City Hall
- Provide year-end and interim audit support requirements
- Liaise and build relationship with bank officers, consultants, auditors, and other government officials as it relates to company activities and transactions
- Assist in process improvement initiatives

**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in a BPO/Shared Service industry. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge on Accounting Standards, (PFRS, IFRS) and Philippine Taxation.
- CPA is highly desirable.
- Experience in BIR, SEC, and PEZA rules and statutory requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel and computerized accounting systems (MYOB, Exonet)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Taguig, City
- 6-month project with the potential for a permanent role thereafter.
