**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**WORKSHOP MANAGER**
The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a workshop or manufacturing facility. They are in charge of managing a team of workers and ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Workshop Manager plays a crucial role in achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and implementing best practices.
1. Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise workshop staff.
- Assign tasks, set goals, and provide regular performance feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
2. Production Planning:
- Develop production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
3. Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control standards.
- Ensure that products meet the specified quality and safety standards.
4. Resource Management:
- Manage inventory and ensure that materials and tools are readily available.
- Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
5.Maintenance and Repairs:
- Oversee equipment and machinery maintenance schedules.
- Arrange for necessary repairs and upgrades.
6. Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Investigate and address safety concerns and incidents.
7. Cost Control:
- Monitor expenses and work towards cost reduction while maintaining quality.
- Prepare and manage the workshop budget.
8. Communication:
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and management.
- Keep records, prepare reports, and communicate workshop performance metrics.
9. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Implement best practices and technological advancements.
- Responsible to positively drive the aftersales operations to achieve the desired targets/results.
- Responsible for the overall administrative functions of the workshop.
- Must be able to clearly comprehend key performance indicators (KPI) and plan effectively to achieve them.
- Ensure highest repair quality and delivery of all Volvo vehicles visiting the workshop.
- Ensure high customer convenience and satisfaction levels
- Ensure that all aftersales Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are strictly adhered to.
- Responsible for all frontline, workshop, parts and administrative matters in the branch.
- Ability to prepare and submit aftersales reports on a timely manner to internal management and VCM.
**Pre-requisites**:
- Possess a Recognized Degree/Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
- Possess strong technical knowledge and customer handling skills.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably dealing with premium automotive brand(s).
- Proven track record in previous companies.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Confident, dynamic, and highly customer
- oriented with a positive attitude.
- Professional and pleasant personality.
- Ability to cope well under pressure.
- Able to work effectively with MS Office.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
