We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef to uphold high standards in food preparation while supporting the seamless flow of kitchen operations. **Key Responsibilities**
- **Ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of all food items, adhering to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, portion control, and temperature in every dish served.
- Supervise and provide guidance to kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and collaborative teamwork.
- Manage stock purchase, receipt, storage, and rotation to minimize wastage and spoilage.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen areas, conducting regular inspections of equipment, furniture, and utensils.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and Occupational Safety and Health standards.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager/Assistant Manager on monthly food safety audits.
- Support recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring new team members are effectively integrated.

**Training & Development**
- Assist senior chefs in identifying training needs and developing programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate staff development initiatives, including professional training sessions and performance feedback.
- Ensure adherence to company-organized training programs and maintain records of staff development activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in a similar role within a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment.
- Proven ability to supervise and inspire kitchen staff, with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards, including compliance with local regulations.
- A hands-on working style with a focus on maintaining efficiency and productivity.
