**The Company**

Our client is an international freight forwarding company. The company provides customers with efficient, cost-effective solutions and multi-modal transportation services around the world. The company has strong networks and offices in Europe, Asia, America, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East.

**The Operations Manager will be responsible to**:

- Act as a mediator between customers and customs in case of disputes.
- Resolve any custom-related issues and ensure all freight forwarding operations and processes align with company objectives.
- Ensure all documentation and assignments are completed on time.
- Ensure business flow and work processes as per company policy.
- Maintain high standards of customer care and professionalism.
- Ensure strict adherence to company procedures within the department.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports, as required by branch management including operational and productivity KPIs.
- Review operational procedures for identifying opportunities and promoting continuous improvement within the team.
- Act as the first point of escalation for sea freight/air freight export, import and customs team for commercial and operational issues.
- Manage all employee relations matters.
- Actively encourage training, personal and career development of the departmental team through the annual performance appraisal process.
- Maintaining up to date industry knowledge and ensensuringployees are informed of company and industry news.

**The Requirements**:

- Diploma / Degree or equivalent.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in shipping / logistics industry preferably from freight forwarding environment.
- Experience in MNC (Shipping/NVOCC) is an added advantage.
- Demonstrate customer service focus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Customer oriented and good people skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Possess own transport.
