Junior Quantity Surveyor

- Basic Salary **RM2,800 - RM3,500**:

Our client, a reputable **Workspace Planner & Construction as well as Office Furniture Manufacturer** established in 1995 that has worked towards creating the most effective and functional workspaces for their clients. They have been growing rapidly over the years due to the high market demand and they are currently seeking a passionate **Junior Quantity Surveyor** to join their big family. As part of the company, you will work with their construction team to estimate and monitor the costs of construction and maintenance of building and infrastructure such as hospital projects etc.

- **Responsibilities**:_
- Provision of all the technical data to the commercial manager to be included in the project’s reports and such other reports, exercises or investigations required by the team or client
- Claims financial analysis and recommendation to the client
- Preparation of estimates. Reviewing consultants estimates
- Establishing and maintaining consistent and adequate administration procedures. These procedures will be followed across the project by the respective quantity surveyors working under the construction managers
- Identifying document and coordinating with the construction managers to resolve potential issues
- Quantifying and estimating costs for all proposed variations / change orders
- Participating in all change order negotiations
- Preparing, as required, cost estimates for each potential change
- Generating and processing necessary change order documentation
- Resolving requests for equitable adjustment, contract disputes and contract claims
- Management of provisional sum expenditures and monthly cost reporting
- Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management

- **Additional Information/ Requirement**:_
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in quantity surveying field
- Good proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
