**About the Role**: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced **Assistant Chief Steward** to join our Culinary Department. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be a key leader in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and operational efficiency across all food service areas and kitchens. You will also play a crucial role in upholding the resort’s commitment to quality and religious standards, particularly in **Halal compliance**.

Primary Responsibilities
- **Hygiene & Sanitation**: Maintain hygiene and sanitation in all food service areas and kitchens, including pest extermination.
- **Operational Efficiency**: Organize dish-washing areas for maximum efficiency and minimum breakage.
- **Halal and Food Safety**:Ensure strict adherence to all Halal standards and guidelines** in the handling, storage, and processing of all items.
- **Waste Management**: Create, implement, and maintain a comprehensive waste management program, including recycling.
- **Cleaning Schedules**: Establish routine cleaning schedules for all refrigerators, chillers, and freezers.
- **Training and Culture**: Portray as a role model, train, and drive the team culture in line with the Company's Core Values (Integrity, Teamwork, Results, Respect, Creativity).
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Ensure the recommended program for chemical use and equipment maintenance is followed after a chemical supplier is appointed.
- **Pest Control**: Coordinate with the Executive Housekeeper to assist in the successful maintenance of the pest control program.

Talent Profile & Qualifications

Primary (Must-Have)
- **Knowledge**:Must possess in-depth knowledge and proven experience in implementing local and international food hygiene, sanitation, and Halal compliance standards** (e.g., HACCP, GMP, or similar) within a hospitality environment.
- **Languages**: Oral and written fluency in **English**.

Base Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
