Business Development Manager

**Location: Malaysia (with regional focus on the ASEAN market)**

**Job Summary**:

- **Key Responsibilities**:_

**Business Development & Client Acquisition**:

- **Identify and pursue new business opportunities** in the transportation, logistics, and smart city sectors across Malaysia and the ASEAN region, particularly for large-scale **IT systems integration projects **and **SaaS product adoption.**:

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans for both **IT services** and **SaaS solutions**, focusing on intelligent transportation systems (ITS), traffic management solutions, and smart city initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts, maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in public and private transportation sectors, government agencies, and technology partners.

**SaaS Product Market Expansion**:

- **Drive market expansion** for Recogine’s SaaS products across the ASEAN region, tailoring strategies for each market and working closely with the **Product Marketing **and **Technical **teams to ensure successful product positioning.
- Lead sales efforts for **SaaS offerings**, including fleet management, smart transportation, and IoT solutions, creating a pipeline of opportunities and driving the conversion of prospects into customers.

**Team Leadership & Development**:

- **Build and lead a high-performing business development team**, recruiting and mentoring team members to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Provide ongoing coaching, set performance targets, and foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, marketing, and product) to align business development efforts with product capabilities and market needs.

**Market Research & Strategy**:

- Conduct comprehensive market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning in the transportation and smart city sectors.
- Analyze competitors and provide strategic insights to guide the company’s approach in both Malaysia and the ASEAN region.

**Sales Process Management**:

- Develop and present **business proposals**, manage negotiations, and oversee the preparation of bids and tenders for large contracts in IT systems integration and SaaS solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction from pre-sale to post-sale stages.
- **Qualifications**:_

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

**Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience in **business development** or **sales** within IT services, systems integration, or SaaS solutions.
- Proven success in leading business development teams and managing complex sales processes.
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, or smart city industries is highly desirable.

**Skills**:

- Strong understanding of **IT systems integration**, **SaaS products**, and **intelligent transportation systems (ITS)**.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable plans.
- Proficient in CRM software, sales management tools, and Microsoft Office.
