**Job Overview**:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. This position plays a key role in managing accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, compliance, audits, and month-end closing processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Reporting & Analysis**:

- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to senior management.
- Provide analysis on financial performance, including key trends, variances, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards.

**Team Leadership & Supervision**:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
- Manage staffing levels and workload distribution to meet deadlines.
- Provide coaching and training to team members on accounting principles and software systems.

**General Ledger & Journal Entries**:

- Manage and maintain the company’s general ledger.
- Ensure all journal entries are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.

**Month-End & Year-End Close**:

- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.

**Audit & Compliance**:

- Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors during the audit process.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations and support tax filings as necessary.

**Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.

**System & Process Improvement**:

- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline accounting operations.
- Work with the IT department to ensure the accounting software system is effective and up to date.

**Other Duties**:

- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Autocount etc.).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.

**- Working Location: Jalan Glasiar, Taman Tasek, Johor Bahru.**

**- 5 days' work week, Monday to Friday**

**- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
