Key Responsibilities:

1.Leadership and Supervision:

  • Lead and manage the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash book, and general ledger accounting staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

2.Financial Oversight:

  • Oversee financial operations for the group of companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Monitor and review financial records, reports, and reconciliations prepared by the team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

  • Supervise accounts payable processes, including vendor payments, expense tracking, and ledger management.
  • Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, credit control, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Resolve discrepancies and ensure effective communication with suppliers and customers.

4.Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with financial controller and top management to prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide detailed financial reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

5.Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.

6.Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
  • Leverage technology and accounting software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
