RESIDENT MEDICAL OFFICER Job Description: 1. To attend to all cases presented to Emergency & Trauma Department and refer cases and refer complicated or difficult cases to JMC Resident Consultant(s) as necessary 2. To attend to all in-patient emergency calls before the Resident Consultant(s) arrives. 3. To response to Code Blue activation. 4. To do physical examination and consultation for Medical Health Screening cases. 5. To write and sign Medical Report(s) for insurance claims. 6. To assist in looking after Emergency Department and to help supervise, advise and correct Nurses, Trained Assistant 7. Nurses and Care Aide in the department where patient safety are concern. 8. To comply to the Rules and Regulations and Code of Ethics of Malaysian Medical Association / Malaysian Medical Council. 9. To help to ensure medical equipment and non-medical equipment are enough and to maintain / check regularly. 10. To observe principles of control of infection and to follow strictly during care of patient. 11. To maintain good communication between departments, wards, clinics and all other section including the public and patient(s). Qualification and Requirements: 1. Possess a Medical Degree recognized by Malaysia Medical Council (MMC). 2. At least five (5) years working experience in the related field. 3. Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for Medical Officer 4. Able to work independently and efficiently with a team of nurses and allied health staff. 5. It consist of 42 licensed beds and 8 bassinets. Being a "One-Stop"medical centre, it has all the facilities except Radiotherapy Department. The services that are provided by JMC are 24 Hours Emergency Department, 24 Hours Outpatient Clinic, 24 Hours Ambulance Services, Radiology Department, Eye Unit, Specialist Clinics, Infectious Diseases Unit, Endoscopy Unit, Operating Theatre, Intensive Care Unit,Maternity Suites, Cytori Stem Cell Therapy,Aesthetic Services, Genetic Testing, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Unit, and Pharmacy and Retail Pharmacy. Currently, we have 26 resident consultants in a various specialties such as Paediatrician, General surgeon, Dermatology,Cardiology & Internal Medicine,Ophthalmologist, Psychiatrist, Ear,Nose and Throat Surgeon, Orthopaedic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.
