**1. Job Responsibilities**:

- Handle customs clearance procedures for all import and export shipments, including declaration, documentation preparation, and submission.
- Perform customs declarations using **uCustoms, Dagang Net eDeclare, or other electronic clearance systems**.
- Accurately classify goods under appropriate **HS Codes** and calculate applicable import duties, sales tax, and other charges.
- Ensure compliance with **Malaysian Customs regulations and relevant government authorities**, such as **Customs Act 1967, MITI, MAQIS, MOH**, etc.
- Liaise with the **Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD)** and other regulatory bodies to resolve any issues such as inspections, documentation discrepancies, or cargo detention.
- Track and monitor the customs clearance status to ensure timely release of goods and avoid shipment delays.
- Maintain and archive all customs-related documentation for audit and internal record-keeping purposes.
- Coordinate with internal departments (purchasing, warehouse, logistics, finance) on customs-related matters.
- **Communicate directly with Mandarin suppliers** to ensure accuracy of shipping documents such as invoices and packing lists.
- Keep up to date with changes in customs laws, import/export regulations, and clearance procedures.

**2. Job Requirements**:

- Diploma or higher in **Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration**, or related fields.
- **1 to 3 years of working experience in customs clearance or relevant roles**, preferably in freight forwarding, trading, or manufacturing industries.
- Proficient in using **uCustoms, Dagang Net, SMK systems** for electronic declaration.
- Strong knowledge of **HS Code classification and duty/tax calculations**.
- **Language Requirements**:

- **Mandarin - Mandatory** (both spoken and written), due to frequent communication with Chinese suppliers.
- **Malay and English - Proficient**, for communication with local authorities and documentation processing.
- High attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility to avoid errors in customs documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent clearance issues.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; a strong team player.
- **Must be able to start work in June 2025**.
