**Job Description** Programs**:

- Responsible for the sourcing of equipment and services to support multiple Program in Asia Pacific region.
- Develop, drive and Implement Program sourcing strategy to support regional growth, profitability, cash flow and improvement through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working with legal teams establish and negate contractual gaps from vendors as we move closer to back-to-back cover.
- Oversees all Procurement activities associated with the effective sourcing in accordance with the Program, schedules, specifications, and budgets.
- To work with the Program Manager to develop effective sourcing plan and identify deliverables for each Program.
- On time execution of Program RFQ’s, prepare commercial evaluations, and suppliers’ selection according to the sourcing nomination process.
- Develop, Define and maintain Supplier Relationship Management for the responsible portfolio to synergize the supplier base.
- Manage the evaluation of critical vendor performance on continuous basis with the Program team.
- Be familiar with international trade compliance, tariff, and local regulations.
- Work collaboratively with Indirect Category Manager for category managed at the Group Level - e.g. Freight.
- To work with the Program Team on tender and provide the best support to win new businesses.

**Service**:

- Manage supplier relationships with 3rd party Service providers that perform maintenance, repairs and installations of Smiths Detection equipment for our customers in the APAC region.
- Working closely with the Service / Aftermarket team to align agreements with 3rd party service providers with our customers’ requirements and to ensure terms are passed on to them on a back-to-back basis where they exceed Smiths’ standard terms with vendors.
- Ensure adequate contractual coverage with service partners to optimize terms and conditions and to minimize risk.
- Develop and implement category strategy for 3rd party service providers in the region.
- Ensure all 3rd party service providers meet Smiths’ requirements with regards to quality, cost, Ethics & Compliance and Sustainability.
- Drive cost savings projects for managed spend, delivering continued year-over-year benefits.

**Qualifications** Technical Knowledge and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Engineering with 4 - 5 years of related experience in managing simultaneous Program Procurement over a variety of category.
- Strong Knowledge of Project procurement practices, costs structures and strong negotiations skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management is required.
- Outstanding presentation, facilitation skills plus effective listening skills, high energy and engaging.
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP System
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
- Independent and problem solver
- Open to different cultures and be culturally sensitive
- Fluent in English is mandatory.
