Navigation Support

Responsible for providing necessary informations to all stakeholders and maintaining the aeronautical data in the flight planning system in supporting the safe delivery of the day to day flying programme.

Your Responsibilities

Constantly strive for and challenge any threat to safe operations be that of company assets or staff.

On a day to day basis update and keep current database for navigation and aeronautical data including flight planning and briefing system used for weather and NOTAMs.

Maintain company ATC routings with due regard to ATC capacity constraints, en-route navigation charges and other fixed and variable costs.

Produce, validate and keep current airfield and route evaluation data as required by internal stakeholders. Focus on complex route requirements and provide guidance to others on alternative options to maximize payload or minimize impact of operation.

Handle non-schedule flights such as ferry flights, delivery flights and charter flights. Providing the necessaries information to all stakeholders and make the necessary arrangement within navigation unit function / scope.

Review flying programme and compare to local flight regulation requirement - ensure compliance.

Obtaining the overflight permits for all schedule flights.

Keep current contingency flight plan (CFP) for the route network.

Validate and correct monthly AIRAC route change discontinuities.

Liaise as necessary with AIS divisions for clarifications on published data or corrections required.

Assist all Group Airlines to maximize synergies and align standard operating procedures with regard to airspace, routings and ATC engagement requests.

Job Requirements

Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in complex operations, dispatch or navigation environment.

Familiar with navigation environment, Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), Airspace / Flight routing design and engineering limitations and impacts.

Proficient in both written and spoken English.

Proficient in Microsoft and Google software. Familiar with AIMs and Navtech systems will be added advantages

Approachable personality, meticulous and detailed oriented as well as self-starter.

Good time management, effective communication skills and ability to provide direction to a team.

Ability to make critical decision making.

Comfortable to work in a complex technical environment.
