Monitors and investigates departments or organization’s infection assessment, control and prevention procedures based on organization’s guidelines.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise, and facilitate the development of clinical skills in staff.
- Monitor the occurrence of infection among patients and staff in the clinical setting. Data on the patient population, the types of infections involved and the causes and treatment of infection are compiled and analyzed to address continuing improvements in the operation and control of preventable diseases.
- Enforce organization policies and procedures based on guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health Malaysia and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure the hospital and clinical setting are operating optimally to reduce the occurrence of preventable infections.
- Leads practice development within the clinical area, such as monitoring care bundles, protocols and pathways. Conduct audits as per required and ensure compliance are in place.
- Participate in the hospital renovation activities and ensure the guidelines are complied by the workers at work. This includes orientation to all new workers.
- Report and collaboratively manage the outbreaks with all relevant department. Provide reports to the Infection Control Manager and Department Director and other related stakeholders as required
- Provides clinical education, information and orientation regarding infection control to all Nursing staff, other hospital staff, patients and guests as required.
- Interprets Infection Control Standards and implements related policies and procedures to ensure Prevention and Control of Infection policies are being followed and make recommendations on improvements and staff adherent to hospital guidelines and clinical policies set.

**Job Requirement**:

- Minimum Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with Post Basic in Infection Control. Relevant Master’s degree will be an advantage.
- Has experienced in MSQH and JCI.
- Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board and valid Annual Practicing Certificate.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Infection Control with very strong knowledge base in infection control

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
