IT Infrastructure Manager Apac

The Site IT Infrastructure Manager APAC South will manage on Site IT Support for PPG locations in the South Asia, Australia and New Zealand. As such you will manage on Site IT support for approximately 20 sites, and several retail outlets in Australia and 3000 IT users in 9 countries. Periodic travel, up to 25% during main points or important implementations, expected to provide the level of oversight and management necessary to manage a geographically dispersed team and customer base. You will be part of the Infrastructure Management track within the IT function. You are responsible for the development and guidance of technical personnel. There is a focus on maintaining IT relationships with business unit customers and infrastructure suppliers. You will contribute to the achievement of your department objectives through the efficient management of IT infrastructure projects and Site IT Support staff. You are expected to maintain good relationships with business unit customers and IT colleagues alike to meet customer expectations and IT infrastructure service levels. You will report directly to Sr. IT Infrastructure Manager, Global for the region. **Key Responsibilities** You will contribute to the achievement of IT business objectives by managing the delivery of technically sound and cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions. They collaborate with business unit customers, staff members, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to define requirements and assess available technologies to help develop sustainable IT infrastructure solutions. - The coordination and management of site IT support staff (11 FTE) for the region - The coordination of global/regional IT Infrastructure projects for the region - The preparation and the follow up on the on-site support regional IT budget - Workstation, Printer and Fixed Voice Deployment and support - Escalation Partner of Service Desk, 3rd Level team, GNOC to resolve local issues - Facilitate any infrastructure-related changes in the sites - Management of process control co-existence with the PPG Network LAN at sites - Main Contact for IT Infrastructure to the Business **Qualifications** - A Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. - Typically, 8 to 15 years of experience in IT systems implementations & support. - An expert understanding of current and emerging IT Infrastructure technologies. - Extensive analytical skills to advocate for the most feasible and economical solutions. - Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in teams. - High proficiency in English; verbal and written communication skills - Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms.
