Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

The position holds the responsibility to build a compelling Maxis IoT Connectivity product & proposition in Malaysian market. The role requires a versatile ability in defining marketing proposition as well as undertake product development responsibilities that will uniquely position Maxis in the IoT market through our differentiated offerings.

In this position, the job holder will have expert knowledge of B2B Marketing, the Maxis IoT value proposition, the IoT architecture and platforms. This role is also responsible for GTM readiness for IoT connectivity products and solutions on channels, communication and market strategy. In addition, the job holder will act as the business solution advisor for establishing and delivering IoT connectivity solutions which contribute to Maxis Business sales targets, whilst delivering an unmatched personalised customer experience to leading companies and agencies in Malaysia.

The Specialist is a high energy, motivated to drive what's possible and an effective collaborator working with key stakeholders in Business, Technology, Support teams to help grow the business to become the leader of IoT in Malaysia.

What you are accountable for?
- To drive IoT ambition of connectivity solution strategy from industry/market perspective with a strong proposition as the market leader in IoT and deliver on business revenue targets. Responsible for positioning & creativity of product content across different sales channels and customer touchpoints including website, online platforms & Press Releases. Develop compelling testimonial with customer & deliver successful event (e.g. Maxis IoT Challenge) (Proposition & Marketing)
- To plan and execute product development agenda including determining product specification, lifecycles, sales & on-boarding, in-life support, change mgmt processes. Ability to understand on customer requirements & work with internal teams across Business, Technology, Support to deliver the requirements would be measured as key outcomes. (Product Development & Support)
- To support the modernisation of IoT sales, ordering & billing processes and platforms initiative. As the person-in-charge for IoT products, key tasks include ensuring requirements are gathered, requirements are concisely and systematically documented and able to independently work with the Platform & IT teams to deliver the enhancements. (Modernisation of Processes & Platform)
- To drive the long-term plan under IoT product streamlining exercise where analysis on current products & plans is required to ascertain their business potential and contribution towards the business. Responsible to develop a viable plan with detail impact assessment on financial & operational risks for the future of Maxis IoT business (Product Portfolio Mgmt.)

What you need for the role?
- Bachelors Degree in relevant disciplines including Business Admin, Engineering, Commercial Management etc
- Total Work Experience: 11 to 15 years
- Total Relevant Experience: 4 to 6 years in wireless telecommunications
- Subject matter expertise & strong business and product management with telecoms understanding
- Good communication, negotiation and product marketing skills
- Possess strong business acumen and project management skills
