Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

This role is responsible to establish, align and drive the IoT ambition for Maxis to offer connectivity solutions in the Smart Mobility & Smart Industries areas to Enterprises in Malaysia. To help them improve their business or operational efficiencies and at the same time increasing their business revenue.

What Are You Accountable For?
- Define Maxis IoT value proposition, product roadmap and service creation blueprint particularly in IoT Connectivity & Automotive portfolio.
- Responsible for GTM readiness for channels, communication and market strategy. In addition, the job holder will act as the business solution advisor for establishing and delivering IoT connectivity solutions which contribute to Maxis Business revenue target, whilst delivering an unmatched personalised customer experience to leading companies and agencies in Malaysia.
- Grow the product line revenue and manage its P&L.
- Achieve AOP targets and LRP vision to deliver on business objectives.
- Deliver on revenue and performance targets as per approved business cases. Ensure that great product experience is delivered to Maxis customers for the IoT products and services offered.
- Plan and execute product development agenda including determining product specification, lifecycles, GTM, in-life support, change management processes & product financials.
- Understanding on customer requirements & translate them into actions for internal teams across Business, Technology, Support to deliver.
- Pursue innovation in offering, feature set and roadmap by analyzing customer needs, pain points, understanding market trends & competition.
- Example projects: Connected Car with Leading National Car Maker, International EV maker; Payment Terminal connectivity for key Banks, 4G & NB-IoT connectivity for Energy & Water Utility Providers’ Smart Meter.

What do you need to have for this role?
- Bachelors Degree Specialised in Business management, Commercial management, Engineering or relevant fields.
- Total Work Experience: 6-8 years with relevant experience in product management.
- Subject matter expertise & strong business and commercial management with telecoms understanding.
- Good communication, negotiation and product marketing skills.
- Good business acumen.
- Financial and Bid management.
- Strong project management skills.
