Our Global Brew Crew is seeking a highly motivated Compensation & Benefits and Payroll Specialist to assist in payroll processing, ensure timely payments and update internal payroll databases in a timely and accurate manner.
Th payroll responsibilities involve completing payroll processes, including calculating wages, deductions and benefits while the C&B responsibilities involve analyzing compensation data, suggesting benefits packages, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing strategic advice to management.
This role will be reporting to the HR Assistant Manager and working closely with other HR personnel.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
In this role, you will:
- Manage the company’s entire payroll function covering management/non-management and casual staff to ensure that salaries and other allowances are paid properly and timely and payroll accounting records are accurately maintained.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including managing time and attendance records, deductions, benefits, leaves and other payroll-related activities.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and general HR information, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Assist in generating and analyzing HR and payroll reports to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
- Check and maintain employee master file details, bank details, tax file numbers, tax scale, deduction, and other payroll information in the payroll system.
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions.
- Check overtime claims attendance records to update on any absenteeism, unpaid leave, absconding, resignation, and new staff.
- Conduct new team member classes every Monday on a rotating basis with payroll team.
- Execute compensation and benefits policies and procedures and run the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Manage performance appraisal processes and link them to compensation adjustments.
- Evaluate and negotiate with benefits providers to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
- Communicate benefits information to employees and address any queries or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of compensation and benefits information.
- Provide guidance and support to employee inquiries and resolve issues related to compensation and benefits.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Calculate and remit all statutory payments, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and Income Tax (PCB), in a timely manner.
- Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
- **Your Ingredients**_
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 - 2 years’ experience as Human Resource Admin and have assisted on payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory requirements, and market practices
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- A team player, resourceful and detailed personality.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimum supervision, to complete assigned tasks within the time frame.
