**Position: Diet Clerk**

**Location**: Northern Heart Hospital
**Reporting To**: Catering Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated **Diet Clerk** to support our hospital food service team. This role involves coordinating with ward nurses and dietitians to ensure accurate and timely meal planning for inpatients, based on dietary restrictions and doctor-prescribed diets.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with ward nurses daily to receive updated patient meal orders and diet changes.
- Input, update, and cross-check patient dietary requirements accurately.
- Coordinate meal service timing and ensure special diet instructions are followed.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff on patient needs (e.g., diabetic, low sodium, pureed diets).
- Monitor meal tray accuracy and assist with diet compliance tracking.
- Support the supervisor with documentation and patient meal feedback collection.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient health and dietary information.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum SPM or equivalent; Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Healthcare Admin is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets or willingness to learn.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and under guidance.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
